A Song of Flight

A Song of Flight by Jennifer Bellor can be performed with a marimba quartet, marimba quartet + metallophones (3 players), metallophones (3 players) + marimba orchestra (4 or more players), or marimba quartet + metallophones + marimba orchestra (4, 8, 12, etc players). A Song of Flight is originally the first movement from Bellor's song cycle, A Smile and a Sigh; this is an arrangement by Matthew Coley.
Instrumentation needs: Mar. Quartet – Two 5-oct marimbas & Two 4.3-oct marimbas | Glockenspiel – 3-oct preferred, modifications can be made for smaller instrument. | Mar. Orch 1 & 2 – 4.3-oct marimbas | Mar. Orch. 3 & 4 – 5-oct marimbas | Mar. Orch 1 & 3 can share. | Mar. Orch. 2 & 4 can share.
